Bart was born during the Philippine Revolution against the tyranny rule of Martial Law. Mr. Santos the head of the family was torn between the safety of his family, his newborn and his duty as a Police Officer. The revolution made headlines around the world. The Philippines was restored to the people’s government.
Bart was a peculiar child gracing. He never associated himself with his peers. He was often out of focused. He spoke newer, communication was a challenged. These characteristics lead the people to assume an array of opinions of what Bart’s condition was. He was not diagnosed until later in his life. The problem was about the era. The study about Autism was inadequate. The majority were available in Western developed countries as opposed to the Philippines- a third world developing country.
Lester Laoagan is a degree holder in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Nursing. He was a former Community Health Nurse and Project Coordinator of the Philippine Red Cross Benguet Chapter. With his love for his brother, he rendered his voluntary service to an organization for children with special needs.
